Oscillations

Oscillations brings together four artists whose diverse practices investigate rhythmic movements, undulating forms, and dynamic shifts. Working in mixed media, woodworking, printmaking, textiles, and painting, Leslie Fitzsimmons, Jamie Gray, Ilan Gutin, and Autumn T. Thomas and act as interpreters of the subtle cadences inherent in the world around us; exploring the interconnected rhythms that define both natural landscapes and the human experience.

Each artist oscillates between structure and fluidity, experimentation and intuition, distortion and conformity, and spontaneity. In doing so, they develop a visual language that goes beyond conscious understanding, offering viewers an interpretation of the compromise of competing influences.
